Apple Remote Desktop is bundled with older Macs (Tiger), and does not support ScreenView. To make ScreenView work on your Mac, you will need to install Vine Server.
Even if you are using Screen Sharing, which is on newer Macs (Leopard), it's still a good idea to install Vine Server. Vine Server is much faster than Screen Sharing and also uses less power on both your Mac and your iPhone / iPod Touch.
Here are the steps you need to follow to install Vine Server:
- Disable Apple Remote Desktop or Screen Sharing if they are enabled.
- Download Vine Server.
- Mount the image you downloaded and run it.
- Click on the Run Server button.
- In Touchpad Pro, first go to Preferences, and turn off the Limit Mac CPU Fix option and tap Save.
- You're done!
